| Just before the town of Punta Allen is a little hotel called Rancho Sol Caribe. It has only four rooms and a lovely beach all to itself. Punta Allen is a lobstering and fishing village on a palm-studded beach. Isolated and rustic, it’s very much the laid-back end of the line. |

| Rancho Sol Caribe… a very welcome spot to stop for a drink… a little cabana hotel that with its beach bar appears bizarrely neat and tidy in the middle of emptiness… very well-equipped, family-size beach cabins with 24hr solar power, and cook up great fresh fish. It’s about the best place along the road for non-fishing obsessives… |
